Hello! I am Dr. Yvonne Simmons Howze, the President and CEO of CYA. I am a native Floridian, and a proud alum of Vanderbilt University. I am a Kellogg National Leadership Fellow, a Certified Gallup Strengths Coach, and a Certified Manager of Quality and Operational Excellence. Throughout my career, I’ve trained over 3,200 individuals, helping them advance in their careers, improve their organizations, or become successful entrepreneurs.
I am passionate about delivering engaging, practical, and informative training that sticks. I have had the privilege of speaking at both national and international conferences, working with executives, managers, and staff in various industries, including government, education, business, and non-profits. I have always enjoyed seeing that "light bulb" moment when someone grasps a concept that can transform their work, and ultimately, their life.
One of my favorite tactics is creating “Teachable Moments,” where I can offer new tools, skills, or insights at just the right time. I focus on customer-driven service, and I believe the key to success lies in the people who not only deliver the goods but are the goods! My toolbox is extensive, and I share it with enthusiasm to help people. You can't lose with the stuff I use!
I believe that people matter, and as leaders, we must invest our time, our talent and treasures to them. I practice that every day, and have fun doing it!
